Position: Search Engine Marketing (SEM Specialist)

The Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist will manage all paid search campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing, as well as other search and display marketing engines. 

 

A successful SEM Specialist will effectively manage the paid search budget and work with the SEO and Marketing team in order to maximize ROI, drive traffic, and customers. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing SEM activities for all brands to achieve sales/ROI targets. 
  • Conducting keyword research/optimisations, testing framework and audience management across all accounts. 
  • Managing campaign expenses, staying on budget, forecasting monthly costs/performance and reconciling any discrepancies that may arise. 
  • Compiling weekly and monthly reporting. 
  • Optimising copy and landing pages for paid search engine marketing campaigns. 
  • Executing tests, collecting/analysing data and identifying trends and insights. 
  • Working with the design team to develop digital assets to use for display.  
  • Researching and analysing competitor advertising. 
  • Marketing campaign performance reporting for all brands. 
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of marketing plans with a strong focus on lead generation 

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Proven SEM experience and understanding of fundamentals 
  • Extensive hands-on experience with search engine marketing (preferably Google AdWords or Microsoft Bing Ads) 
  • Well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition 
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in search engine marketing 
  • Experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, datarama, etc) 
  • Strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM, social and analytical reports
