Position: Head of Operations
Primary purpose of the position:
The Head of Operations plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimising the day-to-day activities and processes within an organisation. They are responsible for ensuring that operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organisation's overall objectives.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of operations professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Process Optimisation:
- Streamline existing processes and workflows to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operations.
- Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to support operational needs.
- Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective operations.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks and develop contingency plans.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and external partners.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in a leadership role within operations, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
