Position: Head of Marketing

Primary purpose of the position:

The Head of Marketing plays a pivotal role in driving the marketing strategy and initiatives of the company. This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing, including but not limited to brand development, product marketing, digital marketing, content strategy, and marketing analytics. The Head of Marketing will lead a team of marketing professionals and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy

  • Define and implement the overall marketing strategy in line with the company's business goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

 

Brand Development and Management

  • Develop and maintain a strong, cohesive brand identity that resonates with the target audience.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints.

 

Product Marketing

  • Lead product marketing efforts, including product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with product teams to gather insights and develop product launch plans.

 

Digital Marketing and Online Presence

  • Oversee digital marketing channels, including website, social media, email marketing, SEO, SEM, and paid advertising.
  • Optimise digital marketing campaigns for maximum reach, engagement, and conversion.

 

Content Strategy

  • Develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with brand messaging and resonates with the target audience.
  • Create compelling, relevant content for various marketing channels.

 

Team Leadership and Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability within the marketing team.

 

Marketing Analytics and Reporting

  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis to stakeholders, using data-driven insights to optimise marketing efforts.

 

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve desired results.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective marketing strategies.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with sales, product development, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and synergy in achieving business objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in marketing leadership roles.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, analytics platforms).
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective marketing strategies.
