Position: Call Centre Operator

A Call Centre Operator is responsible for receiving and handling inbound telephone calls about customer services. They are required to be professional, well-spoken and able to convey the company message over the phone with ease. Call Centre Operators are there to assist and they do so with efficiency – they are integral to the sales function of a business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answering incoming calls and making outgoing calls.
  • Reading and responding to emails, chats and messages.
  • Assisting customers with their enquiries.
  • Escalating to a more senior team member when required.
  • Transferring customers to different departments.
  • Coaching junior members of staff.
  • Creating interest in goods and services.
  • Resolving complaints and minimising lasting negative feelings regarding good or service.
  • Updating database or software with customer information.
  • Organising invoices, receipts, products and information kits to be sent to customers.
