Position: Head of Operations

Primary purpose of the position:

The Head of Operations plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimising the day-to-day activities and processes within an organisation. They are responsible for ensuring that operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organisation's overall objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.

 

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of operations professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.


Process Optimisation:

  • Streamline existing processes and workflows to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operations.
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to support operational needs.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective operations.


Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within operations, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
