Position: Finance Assistant

The role of a Finance Assistant is multi-faceted, with supporting the Senior Accounting and Finance Personnel as the most important task. Finance Assistants are responsible primarily for preparing financial statements and bookkeeping for a business. 

 

They work in diverse industries across a range of verticals and there are many duties and responsibilities involved in the role. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions. 
  • Prepare balance sheets. 
  • Track and reconcile bank statements. 
  • Create cost analysis reports (fixed and variable costs). 
  • Process tax payments. 
  • Support monthly payroll and keep organised records. 
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable. 
  • Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed. 
  • Provide administrative support during budget preparation. 
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits. 

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Economics
