Position: Chief Marketing Officer

Primary purpose of the position:

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is a key executive role responsible for developing and executing the company's marketing strategy to drive business growth, increase brand awareness, and enhance customer acquisition and retention. The CMO will lead a team of marketing professionals and work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve the company's overall objectives.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Marketing Strategy

  - Lead the development of a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals and objectives.

  - Identify target markets, customer segments, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing effectiveness.

 

Brand Management

  - Oversee the management and development of the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints.

  - Monitor market trends and competitor activities to refine the brand positioning and messaging.

 

Digital Marketing and Online Presence

  - Drive digital marketing initiatives, including website optimisation, SEO/SEM, content marketing, email marketing, and social media strategies.

  - Stay updated with emerging digital marketing trends and technologies to ensure the company's online presence remains innovative and effective.

 

Customer Acquisition and Retention

  - Develop and execute strategies to acquire new customers, including lead generation, customer onboarding, and conversion optimisation.

  - Implement customer retention programs, loyalty initiatives, and customer relationship management (CRM) strategies.

 

Product Marketing

  - Collaborate with product development teams to ensure effective product launches and go-to-market strategies.

  - Develop and communicate product positioning, messaging, and differentiation.

 

Marketing Analytics and Reporting

  - Establish and monitor KPIs to measure marketing performance, ROI, and customer lifetime value (CLV).

  - Analyse data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

 

Team Leadership and Development

  - Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.

  - Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the marketing department.

 

Budget Management

  - Develop and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes.

  - Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness in all marketing initiatives.

 


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in marketing leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving business growth.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
